Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Igor Krasnov held bilateral meeting with Prosecutor General of Mongolia Banzragch Jargalsaikhan who came to participate in ceremonial events devoted to 300 Years Anniversary of the Russian Prosecution Service

On the threshold of celebration of 300 Years Anniversary of the Russian Prosecution Service a meeting between Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Igor Krasnov and Prosecutor General of Mongolia Banzragch Jargalsaikhan who came to participate in ceremonial events devoted to 300 Years Anniversary of the Russian Prosecution Service was held.

Welcoming his foreign colleague, head of the Russian supervision authority noted that friendly relations between Russia and Mongolia had a solid foundation. “Mutually beneficial cooperation between our countries is being strengthened and developed for more than 100 years of diplomatic relations. Personal contacts between Presidents of the two countries, as well as sustained business relations in different spheres favor thereto” – said Igor Krasnov.

Russian Prosecutor General positively assessed implementation of the cooperation agreement between prosecution services of the two states, signed in 2012, and stressed out that the existing working relations at the level of leaders of prosecution services of Russia and Mongolia help tackle the most complicated issues.

Considering accumulated experience Igor Krasnov proposed to recommence implementation of cooperation program on legal protection of environment in the region of the Selenga River and the Baikal Lake.

“Mongolia and Russia has common border for over 3.5 thousand kilometers, going through Altay, Tyva, Buryatia and Zabaikalsk Territory. No doubt that interaction between the border prosecutor’s offices should be developed with our support – underlined Prosecutor General of Russia – in this connection I consider it important to continue the activity of the Russian-Mongolian working group on exchange of information on environmental violations”.

At the same time Igor Krasnov suggested not to limit cooperation to environmental issues. “In the light of modern challenges and threats it is important to pay attention to combating cybercrime, illegal turnover of cryptocurrency, legalization of criminal assets, financing of terrorism, illegal migration and  violation of minors’ rights and interests” – he said.

In conclusion head of the Russian supervision authority wished his foreign colleague success and expressed hope for fruitful cooperation.

During the day of 11 January 2022 Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Igor Krasnov will hold meetings with delegation from the Islamic Republic of Iran, Belize, Palestine and Bosnia and Herzegovina, which came to Moscow to participate in ceremonial events dedicated to 300 Years Anniversary of the Russian Federation.
