At the request of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation, the competent authorities of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam extradited Dmitry Serebryakov to Russia for enforcement of the sentence of 10.09.2010 of the Frunzensky District Court of the city of Vladivostok and of the ruling dated 05.12.2013 of the Leninsky District Court of the city of Vladivostok.

He was sentenced to 5 years of imprisonment.

In 2009, Serebryakov and his friend created a website for sale of game consoles, photo cameras and mobile phones, which they did not have.

Without any intention to fulfill their commitments to sell the equipment, by deceiving citizens, they stole funds transferred to them, causing significant damage to 29 buyers. In respect of other 10 victims, they failed to complete the criminal intention due to the circumstances beyond their control.

As Serebryakov fled from the law-enforcement authorities, he was put on the international wanted list under the instructions of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Russia.

In March 2019, he had been detained in Vietnam for having committed robbery there, and after that, the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation sent a request for extradition to the foreign colleagues, which was granted in May 2020. However, the handover of the subject was not carried out due to the epidemiological situation and absence of flights.

Escorted by officers of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia and Russian Bureau of Interpol, Dmitry Serebryakov, transited through Tűrkiye, will be delivered to Moscow.
