Person accused of murder, hooliganism and illicit trafficking in arms to be extradited to Russia from Moldova

At the request of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation, the competent authorities of the Republic of Moldova will extradite to Russia the subject of the criminal case instituted under Article 30 (3), Article 105 (2) (a) (attempted murder), Article 105 (2) (g) and (i) (murder, by a group of persons by previous concert, motivated by hooliganism), Article 213 (2) (hooliganism, by a group of persons by previous concert), and Article 222 (2) (illegal acquisition, transportation and bearing of firearms, ammunition, by a group of persons by previous concert) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation

According to the investigation, on February 25, 2021, Vusal Aliyev with accomplices started shooting near a café in the city of Shlisselburg, Leningrad Region. During the conflict, a 39-year-old man was killed.

Since Aliyev absconded from the law enforcement authorities, he was placed on the wanted list.

In March 2022, due to the fact that the subject was located in the territory of Moldova, the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation sent a request for his extradition to the foreign colleagues, which was granted.

Accompanied by officers of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia and the Russian Interpol Bureau, Vusal Aliyev will be delivered to Moscow.
