A meeting between the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Igor Krasnov and the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Tajikistan Yusuf Rahmon was held in Moscow.
Welcoming his foreign colleague, Igor Krasnov paid attention to the regular character of their meetings that allows solving tasks of strengthening of cooperation between the authorities of two states on different issues of mutual interest more effectively. First of all, it concerns international criminal prosecution, ensuring the security of citizens, respect for their rights and freedoms. The Prosecutor General of Russia also noted positive results of joint efforts in the fight against terrorism and extremism.
“I am confident that our further multidimensional cooperation will contribute to solving regional problems and effective combating new threats, including those resulting from the situation in Ukraine,” Igor Krasnov said.
The Prosecutor General of Russia told about ongoing work on implementation of other previously reached agreements connected with the admission of foreign students to the University of the Prosecutor’s Office and professional training of the prosecution service officials. “I hope for further interest in organization of such educational programs, as well as in continuation of the practice of offsite events by officials of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation,” the head of the Russian supervision authority noted.
Another opportunity to “compare notes” will come during the upcoming expert meeting on the issues of combating illegal migration and human trafficking. “I am convinced that the exchange of experience on these topical directions will fully contribute to strengthening of national security and economic stability of our countries,” Igor Krasnov underlined.
