Upon request of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation, the competent authorities of Montenegro have extradited Aleksey Manukin to make him criminally liable under Article 111 part 4 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (intentional infliction of grave harm to health, which caused the death of the victim by negligence).
According to the investigation, in December 2016, a resident of the Rostov- on-Don Aleksey Manukin, being under the influence of alcohol, due to a sudden quarrel, inflicted to his father multiple blows with arms and legs to his head and body. The man died from his injuries.
Manukin fled from the law enforcement authorities, and therefore the court selected in absentia a preventive measure in the form of taking into custody against him. In January 2021, the man was put on the international wanted list, and already in April he was detained in the territory of Montenegro.
Due to the coordinated actions of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation and organized close interaction with the competent authorities of Montenegro, a decision on extradition of Aleksey Manukin to Russia was achieved.
The Federal Penitentiary Service and the NCB Interpol of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia are entrusted to receive and deliver Manukin, in transit through Tűrkiye, to the territory of the Russian Federation.
The criminal case against him will be examined by the Proletarsky District Court of the city of Rostov-on-Don.

Montenegro extradited a man accused of serious crime upon request of the Russian side
