The Prosecutor's Office of the city of Sevastopol has approved an indictment in the criminal case against 30-year-old Russian citizen Igor Sudilovsky. He is charged under Article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (treason), Article 30 part 3 and Article 205 part 1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempt to commit a terrorist act), Article 222.1 part 3 paragraph “c” of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal acquisition, storage, transportation and bearing of an explosive device, committed with the use of information and telecommunication networks, including the Internet).
According to the investigation, in February 2024, the accused was involved in cooperation with the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine. On instructions from an intelligence agency representative, he received a radio-controlled improvised explosive device and kept it in his home to commit a terrorist act. In March 2024, Sudilovsky installed an explosive device on a gas pipe at the entrance of an apartment building where a serviceman of the Russian Armed Forces lived. He was going to detonate a homemade bomb, when the serviceman appeared.
Sudilovsky was unable to carry out his plan, since after installing the explosive device he was detained.
The criminal case was sent to the Southern District Military Court for examination on the merits.
