International cooperation in combating corruption

The Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation hosted the Russian-Belarusian round table on combating corruption

Today, on June 14, 2018, in Moscow within the framework of the Plan of Joint Actions of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation and the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Belarus for 2018, the round table has been held on combating corruption.

Mr. Aleksandr RUSETSKY, Head of the Department for Supervision of Compliance with Anticorruption Legislation, Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation, chaired the event. Representatives of Legal Department of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation and the Research Institute of the University of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation took part in the round table.

The Belarusian delegation was presented by Mr. Andrey PUCHKOVSKY, Deputy Head of the Department for Combating Corruption and Organized Crime, Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Belarus, and heads of relevant divisions of prosecutor’s offices of the Minsk and the Mogilev Regions.

The parties exchanged their opinions on the issues of organization of prosecutor’s supervision of compliance with limitations and duties, prescribed for preventing corruption by officials and other persons. Legal and organizational problems of practical application and further improvement of anticorruption laws were discussed.

As a result of the meeting an agreement was reached concerning further efficient cooperation within the framework of implementation of the Russian-Belarusian Plan of Joint Actions.
