Representatives of the Russian Prosecutor General's Office conversed with their Algerians colleagues on the use of new technologies with a view to combating crime

As part of the implementation of the agreements reached by the Prosecutor General of Russia Igor Krasnov and the Minister of Justice of Algeria Abderrachid Tabi during the visit of the head of the Russian supervisory agency to Algeria in 2024, work is underway to implement the Cooperation Program between the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Justice of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria for 2024-2025.

A delegation from the Russian Prosecutor General's Office visited Algeria on April 21-25 to exchange experiences on the most pressing issues of supervisory practice.

During the two seminars, participants discussed issues of combating cybercrime and the illegal use of virtual assets, as well as the use of the latest technologies by prosecutorial authorities to combat criminal activity, including the introduction of artificial intelligence.

The Algerian colleagues were greatly interested in the best practices of the Russian prosecutor's office in combating crimes committed using digital financial instruments, including those of a corrupt nature.

Representatives of Russia and Algeria noted the high practical significance of the events for increasing the effectiveness of joint work and agreed to continue further cooperation.
