Igor Krasnov thanked Norodom Sihamoni for the opportunity to meet in person, noting that just two weeks ago it was 69 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and Cambodia.

"President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin at a meeting with Mr. Hun Sen in May 2016 called Cambodia a long-standing reliable partner of Russia in the Asian region," the Prosecutor General of Russia emphasized. "The head of our state highly appreciates the dynamism of political contacts and cooperation, especially in the field of defense and security, trade, tourism, and information technology."

Igor Krasnov positively assessed the productively developing contacts in the law enforcement sphere. "Modern threats, such as transnational crime, including digital crime, terrorism, and corruption require a consolidated and timely response from the competent authorities of all countries," the head of the Russian supervisory agency said.

The Prosecutor General of Russia informed the King about the documents signed during the visit, which open up new opportunities for cooperation with the Ministry of Justice and the General Prosecution Office at the Supreme Court of Cambodia in various mutually beneficial forms, including the exchange of experience and joint scientific and educational events.

"For my part, I will make every effort to continue constructive interaction in the law enforcement sphere between our countries," Igor Krasnov concluded, and also wished Norodom Sihamoni and all the Cambodian people peace, prosperity and well-being.
