Russian experts visited Mozambique as part of the implementation of an interdepartmental cooperation program

As part of the implementation of the agreements reached by the Prosecutors General of Russia and Mozambique, including in accordance with the Cooperation Program between the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation and the Attorney General's Office of the Republic of Mozambique for 2025-2026, signed by Mr. Igor Krasnov on June 5, 2024, Russian experts from among representatives of key departments of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation, the Main Military Prosecutor's Office and the Alexander Nevsky Military University of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation visited Maputo on July 1-3, 2025. They gave lectures on current issues of counteracting modern criminal threats to more than 300 employees of the Attorney General's Office of the Republic of Mozambique.

During the visit of the Russian delegation, expert meetings were also held as provided for by the interdepartmental cooperation program to discuss issues related to the organization of the activities of the prosecutor's offices of Russia and Mozambique.

Russian prosecutors presented advanced experience in supervisory activities in the area of combating crimes committed using information and communication technologies, as well as in the area of countering dissemination of extremist and terrorist ideology on the Internet.

The parties discussed aspects of international cooperation in the field of extradition, provision of legal assistance in criminal cases, as well as issues of identification, seizure, confiscation and return of assets obtained through criminal means.

Following the events, a mutual commitment was expressed to further develop inter-prosecutor cooperation.
