Representatives of the Prosecutor General's Offices of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus discussed issues of protecting the rights of minors

The working meeting was held today within the framework of the concluded Program of Cooperation via video conferencing.

Russian and Belarusian colleagues in their reports raised issues of protecting children’s rights to information security, implementation of legislation in criminal proceedings on cybercrimes committed by or against minors, and the implementation by prosecutors of powers to counter manifestations of extremism and terrorism on the Internet.

The features of procedures and mechanisms for blocking prohibited information, the conditions for creating a safe information space, and modern digital solutions for fighting crime were covered.

The meeting participants emphasized that in the dynamic conditions of social development, care for children remains one of the most important areas of public policy in both countries. The attention of Russian and Belarusian prosecutors is focused on similar problems.

The parties expressed hope for further strengthening of cooperation and agreed to continue the exchange of experience to ensure the rights of minors.
