At the initiative of the Russian Prosecutor General's Office, Dmitry Koshelev was deported from the United States. He is charged under Article 162 part 4 paragraphs “a”, “b” of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (robbery).

According to the investigation, on July 15, 2014, while in the passenger terminal of Pulkovo Airport in St. Petersburg, Koshelev, together with his accomplices, attacked people sitting in a car with weapons and stole property and money from them in the amount of more than $1.5 million.

The accused absconded from criminal prosecution and was put on the international wanted list in April 2020.

In May 2021, information was received on locating Koshelev in the United States in connection with his possible violation of the country’s immigration law. Due to cooperation between the Russian Prosecutor General's Office and the U.S. competent authorities, taking into account the materials provided by the Russian party, it was possible to achieve a decision on his deportation.
