Representatives of the Russian Prosecutor General's Office took part in the International Conference in Nepal

Employees of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation took part in the International Conference on Crimes of the Digital Age:  Anticipation and Response, which was held in February in the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal.

The forum brought together representatives of law enforcement authorities and law schools from 13 countries, including China, India, the UK, the Netherlands, Norway, the Republic of Korea, Saudi Arabia, Singapore and other countries.

The conference was opened by the Prime Minister of Nepal. The heads of the Attorney General's Office, the Supreme Court and a number of other agencies of the hosting country also addressed the participants with welcoming remarks.

Employees of prosecutor’s offices and representatives of leading scientific schools shared their experience in countering digital crime, best practices in introducing modern technologies into law enforcement and supervisory activities, advanced ideas for legal regulation of the digital environment and improving international legal cooperation.

Representatives of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Russia highlighted domestic achievements in the field of countering cybercrime, including preventive ones, noted the role of the prosecutor's office in coordinating the work of law enforcement authorities in the digital space, and emphasized the inadmissibility of politicizing international legal cooperation.

The Russian experience generated significant interest among participants of the event, many of whom expressed their intention to deepen constructive cooperation with the supervisory authority.
