Upon the request of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation, the competent authorities of the Kingdom of Thailand extradite Zakhar Mednikov for his criminal prosecution under Article 213 part 2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (hooliganism committed by an organized group with the use of violence and objects used as weapons).
According to the investigators, on February 2, 2023, Mednikov and his accomplices beat up two visitors of a Krasnoyarsk fitness club.
Since the accused absconded from the law enforcement authorities, a measure of restriction in the form of detention was chosen for him. At the request of the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office in November 2023 he was put on the international wanted list.
The request for extradition was sent in connection with a report from the competent authorities regarding Mednikov’s presence in the Kingdom of Thailand.
Due to close cooperation with foreign colleagues, a decision on his extradition was made.
The accused will be transferred to Moscow accompanied by the officers of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia and NCB Interpol.

Thailand extradites hooliganism accused upon the request of the Russian party
Upon the request of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation, the competent authorities of the Kingdom of Thailand extradite Zakhar Mednikov for his criminal prosecution under Article 213 part 2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (hooliganism committed by an organized group with the use of violence and objects used as weapons).
