The Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation has recognized the activities of foreign non-governmental organization “Association for the Development of Russian Civil Society and Support of Russian Emigrants” (“AREM”) (Latvia) as undesirable on the territory of our country.
“AREM” was registered in Riga in 2018. Its founders, citizens of the Republic of Latvia, constantly cooperation with the Lithuanian non-governmental organization “Free Russia Forum” (also recognized as undesirable).
On behalf of the board chairman of the Association, negative materials regarding Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, as well as slogans justifying terrorist acts in Russia are distributed on the Internet. The Association calls for protests during the preparation and conduct of election campaigns. Information that discredits the state authorities and security agencies is published on the information resources of “AREM”, and anti-Russian sanctions policy is supported openly.

By the decision of the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation, the activities of the Latvian NGO have been recognized as undesirable in the Russian Federation
