The Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation took part in the ceremony of laying flowers at the monument to the Red Army soldiers of the 108th Rifle Division on the territory of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Resort House for Employees of the Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation" in the village of Anosino, Istra Urban District, Moscow Region.
The monument was founded on the initiative of the Prosecutor General of Russia on the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory.
The forces of the famous 108th Bobruisk Rifle Division awarded with Order of Lenin, Red Banner Order of Suvorov under the command of Major General Ivan Birichev stopped the fascist offensive on Moscow at the line of the villages of Padikovo and Anosino, after which the Red Army's counteroffensive to the West began.
