On behalf of Igor Krasnov, Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation, his deputy Petr Gorodov is taking part in the XIII St. Petersburg International Legal Forum. The key topic of the PMYUF-2025 is "The Law: Lessons of the Past for the World of the Future".
On the first day, the Russian Deputy Prosecutor General held bilateral meetings with the heads of the Prosecutor General's Offices and other competent authorities of foreign states from the Republics of Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mali and South Ossetia, the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, and the People's Republic of China.
The issues of combating transnational organized crime, cyber threats, terrorism, drug trafficking, as well as the specifics of active development of cooperation between countries in combating crime in these areas and supporting entrepreneurs were discussed.
In addition, on the instructions of Igor Krasnov, a Memorandum of Understanding between the Prosecutor General's Office of Russia and the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights of Mali was signed, providing for the exchange of best practices and advanced experiences of the two agencies.
Tomorrow, on the sidelines of the forum, Petr Gorodov will speak at the session "Current Issues in Combating International Cybercrime". As part of the work of the PMYUF-2025, Artem Kononenko, Head of the Department for Supervision of Observance of the Rights of Entrepreneurs of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation, will also speak at the session "AI-Based Regulatory and Supervisory Activity".
