On behalf of Igor Krasnov, Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation, his deputy Petr Gorodov took part in the forum "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum 2025" held in Kazan. The topic of the session was "Guaranteed protection of bona fide business and foreign investment in Russia as an impetus for the development of the global economy."
At the invitation of the Russian prosecutor's office, the event was attended by the head of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council, the Chairman of the State Duma Committee, the Executive Secretary of the Coordination Council of Prosecutors General of the CIS Member States, as well as 11 delegations of prosecutor general's offices and other competent authorities of foreign states from Bahrain, Egypt, Indonesia, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mali, the UAE, Tajikistan, Türkiye and Uzbekistan.
In his speech, the Deputy Prosecutor General of Russia called support for entrepreneurs one of the main priorities in the work of the prosecutor's office, adding that supervisory activities help ensure the protection of bona fide businesses and create favorable conditions for their development. Thanks to the activities of the Prosecutor General's Office, Russia has created a legal instrument that has significantly reduced the administrative burden on entrepreneurs. Petr Gorodov reported that this year the number of planned inspections has become a record low.
He also emphasized the work of prosecutors on supervisory support for all state support measures provided to residents of advanced development territories and special economic zones. This includes the construction of related infrastructure, tax breaks, and assistance in implementing investment projects.
The session participants noted the particular effectiveness of Igor Krasnov's personal receptions of business representatives in various regions of the country, which allows for a prompt response to negative trends emerging in the economy.
At the instruction of Igor Krasnov, bilateral meetings of the Deputy Prosecutor General of Russia with the heads of delegations from Kazakhstan, Indonesia, the UAE, Mali, and Iraq were held on the sidelines of the forum. During the discussions, issues of observing the rights of citizens, protecting the Caspian Sea, combating transnational crime, terrorism, corruption, and other modern threats were raised.
As part of the implementation of the Cooperation Program between the Prosecutor General's Offices of Russia and Egypt, a round table was held to exchange experience in the field of combating cyberterrorism.
The interactive stand of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation continues to operate at the forum.
