At the beginning of the negotiations, Igor Krasnov recalled that during his meeting with Hun Sen in 2016, Russian President Vladimir Putin highly praised the Russian-Cambodian friendship, which has been strengthening for almost 70 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the countries. "Russia highly appreciates ​​your personal contribution to the development of bilateral cooperation," the Russian Prosecutor General noted.

The head of the Russian supervisory agency stated that the cooperation of law enforcement agencies of the two countries in the field of combating transnational organized crime, including in the digital sphere, corruption and other modern challenges is on the rise.

"We have already held a large number of meetings with our Cambodian colleagues, and some of them are still to come," said Igor Krasnov. "The main topics concern plans to develop cooperation with the competent authorities of the Kingdom, including in terms of joint work in international formats, organizing events to exchange best practices in prosecutorial and supervisory activities, and in the scientific and educational sphere."

Igor Krasnov said that the competence of the Prosecutor General's Office of Russia includes ensuring the rule of law in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and the defense industry, and in this regard, he expressed his readiness to participate in strengthening partnerships between defense departments.

"I am convinced that all agreements following this visit will contribute to strengthening the law enforcement potential of our states and further cooperation, including thanks to your support," said the Prosecutor General of Russia.

At the end of the meeting, Igor Krasnov thanked Hun Sen for the warm welcome, wished him success in solving state problems, and wished the people of Cambodia peace and prosperity.
