- The Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation
At the request of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation, the competent authorities of Indonesia are extraditing Alexander Zverev to face criminal charges under Part 1 of Article 210 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (organization of a criminal community (criminal organization) or participation in it), Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (abuse of authority), subparagraph "a" of Part 5 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (accepting a bribe), Part 2 of Article 137 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of privacy).
According to the investigation, between January 2018 and April 2021, Zverev created a criminal community (criminal organization) for the purpose of illegally obtaining material benefits for providing data about citizens contained in the information and reference databases held by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, the FSB of Russia and mobile operators. To do this, he created a Telegram channel, involved other persons in criminal activity, including an operative officer of the Krasnodar-Airport checkpoint department of the FSB of Russia for the Krasnodar Territory. After which he began to provide paid services to the channel's subscribers to provide personal data of citizens and information about their private lives.
Since the accused managed to escape, a preventive measure in the form of detention was imposed upon him in absentia. On the instructions of the Prosecutor General's Office of Russia, he was put on the international wanted list in March 2022.
The extradition request was sent in connection with Zverev's detention in June 2022 in Indonesia.
The accused will be taken to Moscow accompanied by the officers of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia and the National Central Bureau of Interpol.
