At the initiative of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation, the competent authorities of the Kingdom of Thailand are deporting Russian citizen Igor Vygovsky, accused under Part 1 of Article 210 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (organization of a criminal community), Part 3 of Article 30, Parts 4 and 5 of Article 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted illegal sale of narcotics on a large and especially large scale).
According to the investigation, during the period from December 2021 to May 2022, Vygovsky, being the organizer of a criminal community that was created for the purpose of illegal sale of drugs via the Internet in the Ulyanovsk and Samara regions, managed structural divisions, as well as drug couriers. For this purpose, he created an online store, functioning, among other things, in the Telegram messenger, where a special "bot" account was created that performed certain functions automatically.
By the sentences of the Dimitrovgrad City Court of the Ulyanovsk Region issued in October 2023 and February 2024, 8 members of the criminal community were sentenced to punishments ranging from 6 to 8 years of imprisonment in a strict regime penal colony with restriction of freedom for 1 year and 6 months.
After the criminal community was identified by law enforcement agencies, Vygovsky managed to escape. A preventive measure in the form of detention was imposed upon him in absentia, and on the instructions of the Prosecutor General's Office of Russia, he was put on the international wanted list in April 2025.
In May 2025, information was received about Vygovsky’s detention in connection with his possible violation of the immigration laws of the Kingdom of Thailand and his detention in a Bangkok detention center.
At the initiative of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation, thanks to the coordination of actions of Russian law enforcement agencies, it was possible to achieve his deportation.
