As part of the implementation of the plan of joint activities of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation and the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Belarus, a working meeting of representatives of the supervisory agencies of the two countries was held in Minsk.
On the instruction of the Prosecutor General of Russia Igor Krasnov, the event was attended by the Head of the Department for Supervision of Compliance with Anti-corruption Legislation Mr. Viktor Baldin.
The parties discussed issues of the implementation of prosecutors' powers to transfer property acquired with unconfirmed income to the state, as well as combating corruption offenses.
Improvement of mechanisms of interaction between supervisory authorities of Russia and Belarus was considered, and new approaches to identifying and preventing corruption offenses were discussed.
Following the event, specific steps were outlined to strengthen cooperation in the field of combating corruption and priority areas for further work were determined.
