Today, Igor Krasnov, Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation, held a meeting in Moscow with Mohammed Ahmed Al Jaber, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to the Russian Federation. The topic of the meeting was current areas of mutual interest of Russian-UAE cooperation in the law enforcement sphere.
Particular attention was paid to the protection of the rights of entrepreneurs and investments in both countries. Igor Krasnov assured the Ambassador that compliance with the rights of Emirati investors in our country is under the control of the prosecutor’s office.
Emphasizing the role of the United Arab Emirates in resolving global humanitarian issues, Igor Krasnov stressed the fact that during the meeting of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin with the President of the United Arab Emirates Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, which took place this summer in
St. Petersburg, the successful development of interstate relations and the benefits of the built strong ties for the whole world were noted.
The head of the Russian supervisory agency reported on the close contacts of the Russian prosecutor's office with the Attorney General Office and the Ministry of Justice of the United Arab Emirates, noting regular joint participation in international events that demonstrate enormous potential for further increasing interaction. They discussed, among other things, sending to the UAE Ministry of Justice a draft program of bilateral cooperation, which was prepared following the participation of the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office in the conference “The Role of Central Authorities in Countering Money Laundering and the Financing of Terrorism.”
The interlocutors agreed to expand cooperation in the educational sphere, actively involving the University of the Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation in training and advanced training of UAE representatives.
