The Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation has made a decision to recognize the activities of the international non-governmental organization Internationale Assoziation für Intellektuelle Spiele (IAIS, Liechtenstein) as undesirable on the territory of the Russian Federation.

The organization unites more than 200 participants of sport versions of “What? Where? When?”, “Brain Ring”, “Svoya Irga” and related games from Europe, Asia and North America.

Despite the provisions of the Charter prohibiting participation in political activities, IAIS actually disseminates information online aimed at discrediting the leadership of the Russian Federation and the country’s foreign and domestic policies. It is involved in propaganda campaigns initiated by foreign anti-Russian centres aimed at promoting protest and destructive ideas in Russia.

In addition, teams from Russia and Belarus are prohibited from competing under the national flags of their countries at international tournaments: the organization has adopted regulations for the exclusion from competitions under the auspices of the IAIS of games’ participants supporting the special military operation.

At the same time, foreign agents continue to participate in the events, as well as participants of foreign non-governmental organizations whose activities are recognized as undesirable on the territory of the Russian Federation.
