GORODOV Pyotr Petrovich - The Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation

He was born in the Kaliningrad Region in 1963.

He graduated from the Military Red Banner Institute of the USSR Defence Ministry in 1985 and the Russian State University for the Humanities with a degree in law in 2009.

He has been working for the prosecuting authorities since 2012.

2012-2017 – Prosecutor, Senior Prosecutor of the Major Case International Cooperation Division (Acting as a Department) of the General Department of International Legal Cooperation of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation

2017-2018 – Deputy Head of the Major Case International Cooperation Division (Acting as a Department) of the General Department of International Legal Cooperation of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation

2018-2019 – Deputy Director of the General Department of International Legal Cooperation of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation – Head of the Extradition Department

2019-2021 – Director of the General Department of International Legal Cooperation of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation

He was appointed to a post of the Deputy Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation on May 26, 2021.

He has been repeatedly encouraged for strengthening the rule of law and order and has received state and departmental awards.
