KRASNOV Igor Victorovich
He was born in 1975 in the city of Arkhangelsk.
He graduated from the Lomonosov Pomorye State University with a law degree.
Since 1997 he has been working in the prosecutors’ service.
Since 2006 till 2007 he worked as an investigator in the central staff of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation.
In 2007 he started working in the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation. He worked as a senior major cases investigator at the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.
In April, 2016 he was appointed to a post of the Deputy Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.
On April 22, 2020, upon submission of the President of the Russian Federation, V. Putin, the Federation Council approved his candidacy for a post of the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation.
He has national decorations, including the second-class medal of the Order of Merit for Motherhood (2011), Certificate of Honour of the President of the Russian Federation (2014).
He has a daughter.
